Feminist Portals at CSW 67: Gather, Seed & Disrupt from the Global South to New York

For over 60 years, governments, activists, feminists, and advocates have been meeting to discuss gender equality and women’s rights at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at the UN headquarters in New York. In the past, CSW has been a space to hold states accountable. However, it has increasingly been eroded by right-wing and anti-rights actors (both state and non-state), corporate capture, and the overarching crisis of multilateralism.

Action Canada SRH week 2022 #EmptyChairs postcard

Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Week (SRH Week) is a yearly campaign designed to raise awareness on sexual and reproductive health and promote resources to improve community health in Canada.

This year, SRH Week takes place from February 14 - 18, 2022 with the theme Advocacy in Action.

For this campaign, Action Canada designed a series of postcard, one including the message of #emptychairs.

You'll find below the accompanying text:

#EmptyChairs at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

In collaboration with the Women's Major Group and Swiss based artists Antje Schupp and Christoph Rufer, the #emptychairs campaign prepared an exhibition of the People's Chair. Unfortunately, we were not able to place our exhibition in the halls of the conference for the HLPF in 2022, but we distributed postcards to participants present at the venue.
